Velocis designed a secure and cost-effective AWSenvironment to host AcrossDomain's ERP application and Microsoft SQL Serverdatabase. The solution was built to improve infrastructure reliability,strengthen security, simplify remote administration, and ensure businesscontinuity using AWS native services.

• Amazon EC2 hosted the ERP application and Microsoft SQL Server database on a Windows Server instance deployed within private subnets, providing secure, reliable, and scalable compute for business-critical workloads.

• Amazon VPC, together with Public and Private Subnets, Internet Gateway, and NAT Gateway, established a secure network architecture that isolated backend workloads while enabling controlled internet connectivity.

• Pritunl VPN provided secure remote access for developers and administrators, allowing authorized users to manage infrastructure and applications without exposing internal resources to the public internet.

Solution Description

Velocis deployed a secure AWS environment in the AWS Mumbai Region to host AcrossDomain's ERP application and Microsoft SQL Server database. The application was deployed on Amazon EC2 within private subnets inside an Amazon VPC, while secure administrator access was enabled through a Pritunl VPN server hosted in a public subnet. The architecture incorporated AWS Backup and Amazon S3 for automated backup and data protection, ensuring business continuity and reliable recovery.

To strengthen governance and operational visibility, Velocis implemented Amazon CloudWatch, AWS CloudTrail, AWS Config, and AWS Security Hub for centralized monitoring, compliance tracking, security monitoring, and audit logging. AWS Systems Manager streamlined infrastructure management through automated patching and operational tasks, enabling AcrossDomain to focus on delivering business solutions to its customers while relying on a secure, scalable, and well-managed AWS platform.
